 We are a privately held company with a global vision based on a commitment to providing our customers with the finest quality starch products and technical consulting services.  The majority of our products are manufactured here in the U.S.A.  The parent company of Carolina Starches, AVEBE, started directly selling starch without distribution agents, to paper mills in North America in 1978.

Carolina Starches continues to grow as we have recently completed our acquisition in April 2010 of the BASF/Ciba potato starch business servicing the U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico.  We warmly welcome our new customers, employees, and external partners.

In addition to our wide range of potato starches, we also offer tapioca and corn materials in an effort to further provide options to our growing customer base.  Our goal is to find the best starch to fit each customer and mill application requirement.
